I am moving out because after several years in this shared flat I am now moving into my own apartment. The apartment The apartment is very spacious and friendly at around 110 m2. The kitchen is large, with shared basic equipment (toaster, pots, cutlery, etc.) as well as dishwasher, stove plus four ceramic hobs, microwave, clothes horse plus pantry, bright with sunset in the evening. You can sit together comfortably at the large dining table. The bathroom is well equipped with a bathtub plus washing machine and is just as spacious with a nice view into the distance. Your future room is quite large at around 20 m2, has two large windows with a wide view (e.g. of the tower of the “Haus der Wissenschaft”) and faces Mühlenpfordstraße. You can enjoy the beautiful sunrise in the morning (as the apartment is on the 3rd floor). With the two large windows, the room is also usually quite bright during the day. The hallway has space for jackets and shoes and is just as spacious. You can conveniently park your bike in the storage area next to the house or in the spacious cellar. Many students and employees live in the house. Living together It is with a heavy heart that I am moving out of this nice, international shared flat in which I have lived for several years. There are currently three other people living in the shared flat, all of whom are male, two of whom are working (40 and 30 years old) and one of whom is a student (30 years old). Two of them are from Tunisia and one from Germany. International flatmates very welcome! We are looking for a female person to balance the gender ratio. Living together in the shared flat is relaxed and communal. The common rooms are cleaned in rotation. Communal products (e.g. cleaning products) are shared in the costs. Everyone is currently very busy in everyday life and the motto is “everything can be done, nothing has to be done”. Good communication, trust and adherence to common agreements are of course important, especially in the larger shared flat. I've always enjoyed talking to my flatmates, for example when we have dinner together. The location The apartment is extremely centrally located and at the same time close to the countryside. The streetcar stop “Mühlenpfordstraße” is right outside the front door. Supermarkets such as REWE, EDEKA or Asia Shop are around the corner, as well as a bakery and many restaurants, e.g. for falafel or shawarma. The apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the beautiful Gaußbergpark, the Inselwallpark and the Oker and Ölpersee, where you can take a pleasant stroll and relax in the sun. The TU Braunschweig is also just a few minutes away, including the canteen and library.
